I'll be selling some fabrics, some one of a kind, hand spun yarns, as well as a few patterns and notions. Also offered will be classes- sewing and knitting. I am excited to teach the sewing classes and take the knitting classes, as I have NO idea how to knit!! Repursables will still be doing its thing- bags and home decor items. I'm also going to try to expand to do simple window coverings (my mom is gracious enough to let me practice on her house, and I use myself as a test dummy quite a bit!)
So if you know anyone who is interested in sewing, knitting, or just exchanging ideas, send them to 111 E. Mississippi in Ruston. I'm going to start posting more to keep everyone updated. I'll attach pictures of our store- both before and after!! And tell of all of my follies and blunders on the way to small business ownershop!
Unsolicited advice is gladly accepted :)
Wish me luck!
Congratulations! If anybody can do it you can.

Congrats on this brave & exciting adventure! I wish you nothing but success & look forward to reading/viewing your progress. Maybe SANDbags can make an appearance one day in your shop!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI live in Dayton, OH, but I am in Ruston right now and until middle of December. I went looking for your store yesterday, and found out that it was not open yet :-)
I am a knitter and I was wondering how things are going and if you will be opening soon.
